General Libby Visits AmCham and Business Council
The State of Maine National Guard Commander, Major General John Libby, is visiting Montenegro on February 9-13 as part of the State Partnership Program (SPP) between Montenegro and Maine. General Libby met with AmCham Montenegro, U.S.-Montenegro Business Council, and Montenegrin Investment Promotion Agency representatives on February 11 to discuss cooperation in efforts to build the commercial relationship between Montenegro and Maine. General Libby also presented a state flag from the State of Maine to U.S. - Montenegro Business Council. The flag will hang in the Business Council Office along with the American and Montenegrin flags, the Podgorica municipal flag, and the State of Maryland flag (the Business Council office in Podgorica also serves as the Maryland State trade office) and serve as an ongoing reminder of the continuing partnership between Maine and Montenegro, and the expansion of that partnership into the economic arena.
